The Shire Hall used to be the seat of justice for the County of Nottinghamshire. It was built in the 1740's and the architect was J. Gandon It ceased to be a court in the 1980's and is now The Galleries of Justice, a museum dedicated to the history of the justice system. I've not visited it as a museum, but in the 1960's the court was magnificent . | |
