Talbot house is of unique design, certainly in the city, but unfortunately I have no information on who the architects were or a build date. In the 1930's it was the Head Office for the furniture store empire built up by entrepreneur and city benefactor Sir Julian Cahn. It is presently one of the many buildings occupied by Experian Its position doesn't do it justice and it would have gained benefit from a larger plot to show it off. I particularly like the entrance shown here. Its very simple but very elegant with the lovely scrolled hand rails.
