Nottingham City Skyline

As noted on the home page, The City of Nottingham is presently undergoing an unprecedented level of re-generation and re-development but to appreciate the full scale of this one has to view it from a high level to see just how much the city is being changed.  In this section I hope to build up a series of photographs that will graphically illustrate just what the planners and architects are doing to our city.  Whilst I will be the first to admit that much of what has or will come down was not worth saving, I'm sure that I'm not alone in my belief that much of the new is almost universally 'industrial' looking, cheap and lacking detail and imagination, and also to a scale that dominates everything and detracts from the more pleasing low level period areas of the city. The East side is particularly badly affected and there are few points from which the Marco Island residential block is not visible. - With more to come,  what do you think ?
