Note the brand new stonework supporting the castle terrace. This was necessary following heavy rains and a drainage problem that caused the old wall and terrace to collapse. This unfortunate event did have a positive side in that the fall revealed parts of the original castle walls that had previously been hidden by the later masonry | |
