Wollaton Hall Industrial Museum
Nottingham was world famous for the manufacture of fine lace products. This is one of a large collection of lace making machines displayed in the museum. Surprisingly, machines such as this were still in use up to the 1960's. Maybe that is why we were no longer competitive - using ancient machines in a modern world ? © Ray Teece 26-04-2007 NP00246 |
