Nottingham Streets

Broadway

The Lace Market

View from St. Mary's Gate

This unique thoroughfare has been recently restored. It was always impressive, but now it's stunning. It makes a very clear statement about the wealth and prosperity of the mill owners in the 19th century.

In the 1960's there were two Consular Offices in Broadway.

Site visitor Mr. Colin Salsbury has found proof in the Kelly's directory for 1941 that a company named C.V. Reynolds, a firm of  exporters, were also the Consular Office for Cuba and Dominica.  His wife who used to work nearby, believes the other one was the Spanish Consulate.
