Waterways - The River Trent

This photograph was taken at approx. 5.0 PM on 26th June 2007 following exceptionally heavy rainfall. The river has just broken its banks on this side (The south bank), but the peak was not expected to be reached until 6.0 AM the following morning. Severe flooding was already affecting several areas of Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
