Nottingham Parks & Gardens

-
The city is very fortunate in that it can boast many public parks, several of which are stunningly beautiful and of significant national historical interest.  Whilst some would benefit from an injection of cash for improved maintenance and restoration, all are well worth a visit.

In 2008 The City of Nottingham won the title 'Champion of Champions' in the Britain in Bloom Competition and the gardens in many of the parks below would have made a major contribution towards this achievement. Some of the lovely 2008 floral displays can be seen in photographs of Wollaton Park, Woodthorpe Grange and The Castle by clicking on them below.  University Park of which the Millennium Garden is just part, also won the East Midlands in Bloom Greenspace Award for Horticultural Excellence and also the Britain in Bloom award for the  Best British Flowerbed, Education category, for the north entrance floral displays but unfortunately, I didn't get round to recording these.
